he said he may be able to do it cheaper, but didn't want to promise anything mine was alot cheaper than that just because we do alot of business with him. $500 includes flowing it as well.
the only thing he wanted to do but couldn't in time, was to get a junkyard warped/cracked head so he could cut it apart and see the internals. he said he may be able to get alot more out of it, but has never worked on one of these before and didn't want to risk messing up a good one.

Bigger gains are picked up by working in the port aka bowl area and runners. Heres what my self ported head flowed with the stock valves. The bigger numbers at higher lift don't mean much unless you have cams with the valve lift to use it.

your info also assures that he was correct by stating the oversized valves wouldn't help much at all on these heads?
yeah that won't work, alot of other stuff going on at the same time. no way to compare the gains legitimately

Yeah im sure when he gets a spare head he can further improve on his numbers. After flowing my head and seeing the numbers I got from it with the stock valves. I decided not to go with the bigger valves since I got the numbers I was looking for with the stocks. I really dont see the cost of the bigger valves being worth the little gain.
