Is it possible for a tune to "go bad"?

and I said I go WOT when getting on the highway, and I do whenever I merge. That's when I noticed my boost going down from time to time. I have no problem admitting how fast I drive and where I do it at. To make sure I wasn't crazy when I noticed 15lbs instead of 17, i did a few 1st gear WOT pulls coming out of my apartment complex to make sure I had accurate information.

I also don't have a G85, just the regular SS/SC.
You speed demend!!!!

also tuners do not generally mess with the trims when cruising or not using boost, those all stay the same thats why stock cars don't need fuel adjustments because those tables are never changed. the only thing tuners adjust is the fuel trims when at wot.

i have an ls, and when i cruised i was around 14-15. i still am right around there now even though im supercharged. that is not something vince messed with. the only part that was changed is wot, instead of being around 13 (if i remember right)or so when i used to floor it before i was charged its now at 10.5....which is still off. should have around 11.5ish
Fuel trims determine (via the O2 sensor) if your engine is trying to put more fuel than the MAF/MAP is telling it to. If the O2 sensor is working properly, then no matter what you do to the engine it should always be around stoich. However, you fuel trims may change and you may throw a code. Thus, a tuner should be tuning your fuel trims. This also ties into going WOT, as the closer to 0 fuel trims you get, the more accurate your WOT fueling is. I currently command 11.8 AFR and get right around 11.75, and my fuel trims during daily driving are roughly 0-2% rich. I recently tuned a kid whose trims were 20% rich and was getting something under 10 AFR. When his trim was around 2% his AFR was right where I programmed it (11.7)

If that didn't make sense I can try to explain a bit better. I'm just throwing that out there for information's sake.

Although all this talk of lower than normal boost = blowby kinda makes me wonder if my rings really are fucked. My oil's smelled like fuel for a while, but I recently switched to a smaller pulley and my WOT pressure didn't change at all.

Oil smelling like fuel seems to be pretty common for the SS/SC's. Don't ask why, but I've smelt many oil caps in the SS/SC and it always smell like oil.

You guys are seriously overestimating our cars' MAF sensors and ECU parameters. If the ECU has the ability, HPT should figure out a way to put it in their software so we can manipulate it. This would save alot of cars from popping pistons in the winter.

You are pretty much right. They are supposed to but they FAIL miserably at doing so
