take your bumper off and you should be fine

also some things to consider and i know someones gunna flame me for it but a 3inch exhaust is a bit big for what your looking for but it shouldnt hurt it that much

sounds like your going to have a very sick set up when its all done

also if you dont have someone to custom tune you then send your pcm in and i dont really hear anyone say they need a case relearn unless they just took someone elses pcm

also for the hub and using a rubber mallet put it on after that if you need it any further on mine didnt but if yours does use a socket really easy stuff man great hp and tq gains as well
stupid question, but i've never taken the front bumper off, when I do this to install the H/E, is the bumper a pain in the ass to get back on?

its actually really easy to install all of it. get the ott h/e the new one. by it with the kit and its 125 dollars i think and its soooo much better looking then any other h.e this one actually looks like a air to air intercooler. thats really all the cooling u need unless ur going smaller then a 2.8 . but more cooling is always better. the bumper is very easy to remove. just unblot the headlights and lay them on the engine bay. 4 bolts on each fender. then a few on the fender wells. make sure u put vasoline or pertoleum jelly on the o rings for the injectors and dont let any debris fall into the combustion chamber. its all very simple u can do it.

heres another probably stupid question. The H/E replaces the one thats already on the front of the car correct?

And if so since it's air to air, I won't have to mess with any coolant? So the install is easy then, just unbolt the old one, bolt up the new one?

You can either remove your factory heat exchanger and just use the front mount, or you can use both. I'm using both.

hehehe, no coolant? There is definitely coolant. There are laminova intercooler cores in the intake manifold in which coolant runs through them horizontally and then the air goes through them into the cylinder head. The coolant pulls the heat out of the air, and the heat exchanger cools the coolant back down so it can be efficient at pulling the heat back out of the air.

Therefore, you will have to drain the intercooling coolant system, hook up the heat exchanger, and fill it back up. It is 100% separate from the engine cooling system.

Is everything you need included with the kit to run an extra heat exchager or will I need to buy extra tubing and such?

If you are planning to do the kit, and you have future plans of maybe a smaller pulley, I would get the dual pass endplate or DIY while you have the supercharger off. You have to pull it to do the endplate, so its just a thought.

I have the ottp stg2 w/ 2.7 pulley and a cx h/e and it pulls hard. only prob is on the stock clutch it slips alot and i only have 39K miles.

Most everything has been already stated just adding to the +1 for the kit and ease of install.

Ok I'm sounding like a noob at this point and with engine modification I am basically, what is a dual pass end plate?

the coolant enters the middle fitting makes 2 pass and then exits via the 2 other fittings, stock it makes 4 pass which really heats up the coolant, dual pass also allows it to flow coolant btr

u can make ur how ill find the how to
https://www.cobaltss.net/forums/how-guide-43/how-diy-dual-pass-endplate-pics-inside-195133/
