Just don't break anything big, you'll probably be out a warranty then.

tank...it voids your warranty. yea, you can get a reflash and pretend you never had the tune, but you can also install a GT35r, and just remove that before going in for warranty work as well. If it didnt void your warranty, you would be allowed to take it as is to the dealer for warranty work. And yes, they are starting to check for flashed ECMs now, so even that can't be hidden if they chose to look

That will just help with GM's money issue. You blew your motor from modding and go back to stock to say to the dealer "IDK what happened, one day it stopped working".

And yes they can check the ECM's, you are correct, my gas gauge is going backwards, when full it says empty vice versa, and I brought it in for that because my tuner said he cant touch that stuff, and they said it would cost because my computer was altered...

So i'll stay with the intake.

And take that off whenever I take it to GM for anything.
Mod at your own risk, as shown in one of my previous emails, they might void warranty when it deals with something in the intake path, or possibly the engine.. It has happened before.

an intake will not cause any failure to the engine period.........unless ur running around filter less if a dealer turns u down for warranty work on that....go to another dealer! plus i have the gmpp for my 2.2 so i dont have to worry

and for saying that gm would lose money well thats just stupidity.........if i went in for warranty work and they voided it due to an intake u can guarantee i will not buy a new car from them.........so lets think about it they pay 800 bucks to fix the warranty work or dont and risk losing me as a repeat buyer for a car running 20+k.....so where does one rele lose the money

i hate to break the news to you, but you cannot reflash to stock without them not finding out about it. they really have to l;ook into it, but they can tell. just dont go in with your nitrous bottle and a fender full of racing manufacture decals.
hpt and gm's calibration are comprised of a different amount of bits of data. also the pcm accumulates info. if you mod and break it, dont be surprised if you have to pay. gm hates intakes as well. pop in a high-flow dry filter opposed to intake if your worried about void. gm even sells some.

Ok like I said, they voided my friends warranty for an intake, bottom line is they can void it for any mod not done by them, its if they choose not to is up to them. Yes you are going to argue that no they cannot but at the end of the day I have seen it happen.

Yah but that is a little different, I am not going to say every dealer is going to question the intake because something went wrong with the throttle body. I mean I had my intake on when they warrantied mine, but to say if something goes wrong with your car because of the tune, and you change it back (like what was previously said), and they warranty it without noticing that the car had a tune previous, that is where they lose money. You pay to mod why dont you want to pay when it breaks due to that mod?
