Proper Part Numbers For Main Studs

hey guys for those wanting to get main studs from arp, do not get the kit for the vauxhaul like some may have

the part numbers after speaking with them directly are

AM6900-1LUGB - Stud itself
300-8344 12 point nut
200-8590 washer

i found out the hard way

do not order ARP-209-5401 as they will not work, they are too short, and only get 10, when we need 20

just a heads up too all those builders out there

if u just want the gm part number it is 11519783

Anyone buy these to verify you actually get 20 with the above kit #?

Or is the above part number for 1 stud and you need 20?

Also, where did you happen to find this information? Nothing seems to be listed about it from what I can find.

The above part number (209-5401) listed only come 10 per box. They are too short and too small to be used for Main Studs. They will NOT work for the Ecotec engines (2.0, 2.2 and 2.4L)

We are currently working with ARP in getting some Main Studs for the Ecotecs out to the market soon. We should have some ARP Main Studs within the next few weeks. I'll post up more information about the Main Studs in our Forums located at https://www.cobaltss.net/forums/allecotec-161/ soon.

Thanks

i say to not order that kit

i have the part numbers for each one per, its just one way of doing it, and getting it done with main studs, unfortunately they do not offer a main stud kit for ecotecs

i sat with a caliper, and with stock bolts and block, and me and arp sat on the phone and went ape ****, getting measurements, took almost an hour, i have used these, and worked great

if anyone is interested in knowing, the arp mainstud kit they list for the ecotec that comes with 10 studs is for an early european ecotec with cast iron block. this is actualy the same engine family as the 1.8/2.0l 84-94 sunbird. also iirc this is the same family as the currect aveo 1.6l.
