Which pulley?

So far I have a stage 2 kit and ingalls tourque dampener installed on my car. I want to get a Nates pulley, but what size is best. I dont want to buy new injectors or get a tune now because I just had the kit installed.

I fugure I can just swap them off before I take it into the dealer. I am looking anywhere from the 2.8 to the 2.9...Which one would be the best idea and wouldnt need any other supporting mods?

2.9 .... people do 2.85 but thats really pushing it. i have a 2.8 with 60#s on a custom tune and i am really riding the edge of needing cooling mods. so it sounds like a 2.9 would suit you well.

I'm running a 2.8 and stage II injectors but my altitude here is 3500 feet. I haven't had any issues at all.

Maybe this has to do with tuning? If you command a leaner afr, wouldnt your idc's go down? What afr are these 2 cars tuned for? That being said, if your keeping the stage 2 tune your car is commanding a much richer afr and probably gonna see very high idc's if I'm not mistaken.

I want to know what idc's people are getting with 42#'s a 2.9 and meth with a tune for around 11.7 to 11.9afr. Mainly beacuse thats what I want to start running this fall, but I dont wanna jack this guy's thread so if someone has the answer to this shoot me a pm, thanks.

How much money do you have to spend???

I would go with a 2.8 60s and a cobra heat exchanger.. you will be fine!

2.9 is the lowest you should go without upgrading to 60lbers. Also, this will be pushing your idc's pretty high. Depending on your tune, even though its a gm stage 2 tune, they can slightly differ, and climate etc. But depending on your stuff, your idc's could be over 100%, watch that.

Is dropping to a 2.9 even worth it if you have a stage 2 pulley...noticeable benefits?

ehhh the 2.9 slights you a little bet time, but mainly the thing you will notice is the sound kicking in slightly sooner and the boost hits harder and sooner.

personally if it were me mate i would stay with the stage 2 pulley. It really isnt worth pushing your injectors that hard for a little extra boost. Your 1/4mile times would barely drop, and you would heat soak even faster.

My 2 cents is its not worth it, especially if you dont have cooling mods.
