Pulley in cold weather?
Pulley in cold weather?
This might have been discussed or be considered a newb question but during the winter months (Nov-Feb in MO) is it possible to run the CA 2.8" pulley with the stage 2 set up due to the colder air being brought in with little risk of overheating? I only ask because I had a GTP and i remember during the colder months my car seemed a lot quicker against N/A cars. Thanks for any input.
+1 I should have noted that also. The colder the air is the more boost you will be running and the worse off your car will be.
However to really answer your question, is it POSSIBLE to run a 2.8 inch pulley on the stage 2 tune, ofcourse, you COULD run a 2.5 inch pulley on it.
Is it safe, not in the least, your not only maxing out the injectors but making them static, your pushing the 42lbers way beyond the point they were designed for. Stick to the stock stage 2 pulley, ESPECIALLY if you do not have cooling mods because you will just heat soak.

ok thanks guys. yeah i wondered why my gtp ran so much better with cooler air, which would be more boost and maybe the stock injectors on those were able to handle the smaller pulley safely, even with the more boost. THANK YOU GUYS!
