pulley power

does anyone know how much hp the 2.8 gives the car over the 3.0 .... just wondering cause i never had my car on a dyno with the 3.0

can the 2.8 pulley cause a cracked land ring or also know as a compression ring due to to much boost? this happen to me i just wondering

but i also did not let my car warm up on the previous day and it was like 20 degrees outside... so i get in my car and go wot through 1 and 2 gear and my girlfriend said all she saw was black smoke... never had a problem with the pulley till that day just wondering

so i am back to the 3.0 pulley with gmstg2 tune for the winter just wondering the numbers?????

for some reason i did not realize the gain was that substantial. i guess i didnt have my stock stage 2 on long enough to notice the change.

21lbs of torque is quite a bit!

The real gain here is not just the 21ft lbs of torque, but how much earlier all that torque comes on. That's damn near a 1000rpms sooner. That's why I wasn't happy with my power numbers on the dyno, but the broadened torque curve and bump in torque made me smile.

Wow, I didn't even notice that. The HP also comes on sooner as well.

A general standard is for every .1" you get 5hp.

but a 2.8 is too small right? it puts the duty cycle for the injectors over the limit and makes em go static no? or is there a tune someone is running that has solved that?

alright i will settle this it depends on where you live if you are in high altitude it is probably ok but if you are closer to sea level i'd say no it all depends just to be safe stay under 6500rpm if u can. Like if your blowing the doors off a civic just shift a 5k so you don't have to worry about it.
