I was wondering, what the smallest pulley size I can get for my cobalt ss/sc that I can run on stock injectors and stock ecu without damaging anything. Also, where can i purchase one from?

 

I wouldn't go with a smaller pulley without the bigger injectors or tune. The stage 2 pulley is 3" and the stock pulley is 3.3"; I don't think there is much room in between those sizes for the stock injectors. I think denny posted that the IDC on his stock injectors was too high to begin with.

I'm assuming from your post that you want to keep things fairly conservative for now. In that case, go with stage 2; you will keep your warranty and get a nice boost in power.

 

just get u a set of 60's amd a 2.9" pulley

 

Justin, what is an amd? I was thinking maybe a 3.05 or a 3.1 should be fine stock. Any suggestions?

 

im running 42# injectors and a 2.8 pulley.. works fine no problems.. almost 2000 miles on it

IMO GM Stage II with one of Nate's custom made pullies is the best way to go. Go with Stage II, and a 2.95 pulley and you will be very safe. Get some other bolt ons to make air flow smoother and more free flowing and you will have a low 13 second car with traction

ooh this is a good thread for the question i have. on a stock tune, if you put a smaller pulley on wouldnt the bypass valve start bleeding after you hit 12psi?
