Pulley Swap Question
hey guys. I've searched and only found one other thread on HOW TO do a pulley swap
I'm wondering if this can be done with the supercharger still on the car? The thread said one part was to remove the S/C. I'd rather not if I didn't have to.
I've got the STG 2 pullet on and I'm going down to a 2.8" ZZP pulley.
Can the swap be done with the S/C still on the engine?? IF SO.. how??
Thanks!

Well, leave the belt on for sure until you loosen the bolts. That should hold the pulley tight enough. I always loosen the bolts before I remove the belt.

If they're not loc-tite'd, they should come out with very little effort.
If they ARE loc-tite'd, DO NOT just try to gorilla them out. The mortorq bits WILL break. lol
You're going to have to heat the bolts with a propane torch or equivalent heat source in order to heat the bolts up to red loctite's 400F spec.
I wouldn't try that with the blower on the car though. This is probably why you've read conflicting suggestions on whether to remove the blower or not.
