i am not an expert by far but i know a couple people running pretty much the set up you described and all of them are getting around 300hp. so unless you forgot to list something you are about 100hp off.

but with the gm stage 2 kit and reflash i should be able to run a 2.9 safely right?

well, i havne't hooked my car up to anything, but people that have say that the stage 2 tune runs a little rich. look at your black ass exhaust pipe for proof

again, haven't tested it, but in theory the 2.9 would lean it out slightly bringing it into a more ideal a/f ratio.
