well what are you now? completely stock? unless you have the stage 2 (42.5 lb) injectors, you shouldnt change anything regardless of hp tuners.

you better get the stock sized pulley back on or buy a pulley that is that size to go back on that hub. and stop making threads asking the same questions

3.0 is safe with stock injectors. as long as u have a tune, my duty cycle is at 91%

If you have a stage 2 tune or the zzp s2 tune then you're okay with anything 2.8-3.0. 2.6 has got to be sketchy without 60's.

stock injectors
stock pulley...your idc is like 120% @ 6500 rpm

42s
s2 tune 3.0 max
custom tune 2.9 max
custom tune 2.8 max if you limit 6500 rpm

the rest your playing with fire

2.9" with the stage 2 tune 2.6" is not safe short or long term. The smallest you should probably go for is 2.8" but that's pushing it.

2.9" is fine with stage 2 running the injectors that high is counterproductive but if you don't constantly go over 6k you should be fine. Intake temps around 155 driving hard in the summer.

Everything depends on how you drive your car. The two things to watch are intake temps and injector duty cycle.

Honestly running a 2.7" on the stage 2 tune would kick intake temps up at least 15 degrees but I haven't checked...I could check if someone wants me to...but I run richer than stage 2 tune when I run it (maybe 50 miles in 6 months?) so that might skew things.

why the hell would gm run a car with the duty cycle at 120% from the factory? they wouldn't do that!

I have a custom tune with a 3.0 pulley stock injectors and my duty cycle is 91%

it can be

http://www.rceng.com/technical.aspx?...FHoz44mFzZsTzl

say you want 260 crank hp and a max of 80% idc's you need at least 42's.
Most people on stage2 make more hp then that at the crank hence why those idc's will always be over 80.
