i am new to modding cars cuzz im only 16 and am getting a 05 cobalt SS supcharged and was looking to put a diff pully in it. When i looked at cobalt-addiction it says ZZP Interchangeable Pulley System. What is that? And where are people finding like the 3in pully kits and all that?
god i hate asking stupid questions cuzz i know this one is

Sorry to go off topic, but Pulley is spelled with an 'E', its just beginning to annoy me because everyone mispells it
ok lemme see if i can do this correctly. (all the ss/sc guys feel free to correct me)
the interchangeable pulley system is a system the allows you to change pulleys pretty much on the fly, by just removing a few bolts and then putting the new pulley on as opposed to the stock pulley where you have to remove most of the blower nose.
the three inch pulley kits aren't necessarily kits. they are pretty much just a different size pulley. I believe, the smaller the pulley, the more boost you will obtain because since its a smaller circumference pulley, you can get a faster revolution of the impellars (sp?) with the same speed belt movement. More boost = more power, generally, you reach a point where you have so much boost that you need to start spending money, fuel injectors, fuel pumps, Air-fuel controllers, larger exhaust, plugs, plug wires, coils, will all be needed to maintain proper air to fuel ratio and combustion at higher boost levels.
i hope that answered the gist of your question, and hopefully i know enough from listening to my buddy talk about his gtp to give you some good info
p.s. dont worry about asking stupid questions, we were all new at one time (some of us much longer ago than others) and you have to learn somehow.

That i'm not sure of, i'm only a lil baby 2.2, check the supporting vendors section of the forums, its a list of a lot of vendors that support cobalts strongly, or just wait til someone else posts up where to get them

just keep in mind warranty issues m8. GM won't like it too much if you put a 3" pulley on. (that is considering you have a warranty on the 05)
*off topic* ... good god venum. cut out the cobalt in you sig a little better.... it just looks... bad - to put it simply

Just search around on the site, click links educate yourself. Your only 16. I was once 16 and didnt know nearly as much about cars as I do now. I think its pretty crazy what I have learned browsing not only this forum, but several. Good luck to you, if you get the car be careful, dont be some jackass 16 year old with a brand new car

the cobalt ss/sc is not listed but email doug and tell him what size you want. They come in all types of colors they are aluminum and anodized.
3.15, 2.9, 2.7
there are some other sizes i recommend 3.15 if you have no other supporting mods.

I would recommend a 3.0 inch pulley for the best gains without having to alter the stock fuel/spark. I have been running the SFPH 3.0 DUB system for about 6 months now with no adverse effects. Some people say to regap the plugs or buy copper plugs and regap them. I have run both ways and can't tell a difference.
Basically the pulley is pressed onto the blower snout with a lot of force. And it takes a lot of work and special tools to remove it and put a new one on. So if you get a pulley system you can press on a special hub that allows you to change the pulley sizes, without pulling off and pressing on another pulley.
