putting in a flowmaster

I'm thinking instead of buyin a catback, just cutting out my muffler and splicing in a flowmaster...I know I won't see huge performance gains or anything but im looking to livin up the sound a little bit...any comments

if thats what you wanna do just for the sound then by all means go for it...but everyones going to say its pointless just to add a muffler an tell you....
A: just buy a catback
B: if your going to just add a muffler leave the stocker on
C: if you wanna add a muffler then go to a shop an have them add 2.25'' pipeing an run that

just a little heads up of what to come soon lol

I am sure that you are all aware of this site, I spent under $500 and got a catback and a cold air intake and it is well worth it. Car sounds great and just these two upgrades really boosted the power and response. I am also averaging 29 mpg now!!!

Go for the whole system, adding just the muffler will only make you wish you did.

Mine is a Megan Racing catback. Sounds good through the rpm range. A supercharged motor will never sound like a honda

Check out the video.

If you wanna stick to just a muffler I'd recomend a Dynomax Turbo muffler. Offset inlet, offset outlet. Think of it as a glass pack in the shape of the letter "S" inside. It deadens the horrible resonance due to its paking and doe not hinder flow due to its frre flow design. Also it gives a nice deep growl that will never be mistaken for a Honduh.

Dude the flowmaster 40s isn't even bad. Just ask my buddy mike he road in my car for over an hour and cruisin on the interstate you can barely hear it. AND im catless. So idk what was with your 40s but I love mine. Its deep and mean. You won't be disappointed
