qtp cutouts

i was looking into getting a electric cutout just to have it not really for any performance increase. I was wanting to know if its worth the money and will it hurt my ss if i have it?

Nope, might run a bit leaner since the motor will flow more air, other than that depending on where/if you have a rear O2 sensor.

I have one, my car gain'd 9whp and 14wtq all-motor with a 3" cut-out.

Don't let people talk about the whole "backpressue" or "loosing TQ" bullshit...they work.

Mine had been mint for the last year, then again if it was leaking I wouldn't really notice since my car is so loud inside.

DMH makes them as well, they are a bit more expensive
But you get what you pay for.

I like the idea, but I don't like that they leak over time, I would rather have a wing nut block off plate with a gasket

If you're getting it just to get it, I wouldn't do it.

Do you even gain much by dumping it? To me it's just too loud and not worth it.

Did you miss my post?

I gained 9whp 14wtq with it open vs. my full exhaust to a straight through muffler........and that's on an all-motor car!

Runs were done back to back on the dyno.

Expect higher gains on a boosted car.

9whp on an all-motor car for ~$160 is awesome bang for the buck.
