hey guys so today i got my car and it started throwing out black smoke then when i was driving it it shut off and about an hour later it shut off again and on the dash it said engine power reduced then it seemed like the engine was choking itself it would keep jumping and the exhaust just kept reving like in paiurs of three like vroom vroom vroom then a pause then vroom vroom vrroom any ideas

 

crank sensor probably.... i shut mine off for 10 minutes and it went back to normal

 

thats what mine did when i shut it off it went back to normal but do 06 have a crank sensor

 

Sounds like your are running rich. Maybe one of your injectors is stuck open, or something is blocking air from getting to the engine.
