Has anyone thought about disconecting the hose that runs to the intake and putting a breather on it? Would you se better results from keeping it hooked to the intake or if it had it's own filter?

 

I think if its unhooked, with a breather filter, you will see better. Some of the RL guys have it done. But I believe you would have to plug both ends with a breather filter element.

 

i dont thin your would want to put a filter on the intake when you disconnect the hose it would allow air to escape. I was thinking of plugging that hole.

 

It's not worth the power gains and I use the word power sparingly, you know what I mean.

 

You can plug the intake. I dont see why not. Just make sure you clamp a filter on the other end of the hose.

Its not about power its about taking care of your car so the oil blown through the head doesnt go into your supercharger and intake, combustion areas. It's called preventative maintainence not power

 

Just curious, why was it designed like this on every single car(for the most part), if it severly hurts the engine?

 

So we have to buy new ones sooner.

 

If your gonna run a pulley, intense, rev it up, gm or any other power adders you run the risk of making a big mess!

If you arent flooring it, then you are less likely.

I have heard that in our engines, gas is also escapes through the valve cover hole and if you put a filter on it, then the gas doesn't get sucked out and you will have a really big accident (engine blows up). I want to do the same thing, but when I was told that, I left it alone. I want WOPONTOUR to respond, he is very knowlegable on these cars.....

 

So has anyone gone ahead and put this through? i want to do it because it just seems to make sense.

 

pretty much like said before prevents oil from getting into your cai etc also it is mostly for looks and will not add hp nothing bad will happend just a simple mod for looks
