question bout sound

If i put on a zzp header and dp to my stock exhaust what kinda sound difference should i expect? btw it will be a catless dp. also is there a big difference in getting the stainless over the mild steel for that big of a price difference? should i stick with 2.5 dp or go to 3" with 2.5 bolt up?

Thx

Well it is definatly going to be louder. Depending on your mods and what your plannign on in the future will dictact what size you should be going with. I would probebly stick with 2.5" and bolt up a 2.5" cat back later on.

I'd go 3". Just better all around especially if you're going catless you want the least restriction it seems like.

Sound difference to expect: Deeper/Louder sound. You may not like the catless sound but everyone has different tastes.

As far as going stainless steel over mild steel... I'd only consider the stainless if your weather conditions are something out of the ordinary.. They're the same thing.. The material difference is just there for different areas that people live in and their different needs..

if that is where you plan to stop then do not buy 3" go with 2.5". If you are planning to go with a header and downpipe you should also look into getign a catback system (2.5")

You're sound will only be slightly louder on the stock exhaust, you'll notice some pops when you let off the gas in a lower gear, sounds nice.. It'll only get much louder/noticeable when you get rid of the axleback or the entire catback for that matter.

... You would definatly see BETTER gains from replacing your whole system rather than just the header and DP

Exactly, but you will notice the gains from just the Header and Downpipe. .The stock downpipe is pretty restrictive in our cars.. you'd see better gains with a Catback or if you don't plan on getting anything larger than 2.5" exhaust just co with a CTI Axelback..
