Question Quick Downpipe Question!

I'm hearing that some of these downpipes with the cats like the Cobalt Addiction downpipes or even the ZZP downpipes have cats that rattle Is this true? How are they working out? Thanks...

I"ll keep you guys posted... also they designed a new h/c setup... hopefully doin the install this friday, then he should have 9 more kits available after this week.... (Iget to do the prototyping for you guys)... just watch for either mine or badg1rls posts.

Those cheap converters do have some sound issues and tend to make all types of noises. They are using a car sound or something similar. Hence why we chose Random Tech. Quality, fit, finish and all for one price. No worries or complaints. We sold their cats to blown C5s, C6s, Vipers, Lambos, Elises..............Good enough for them, good enough for anyone.

Sweet this is all good stuff to know. So ixney the ZZP downpipe.
I know Dezod stuff is quality. You get what you pay for.
I might just skip the downpipe and get a high flow cat with the GM manifold and exhaust.
The downpipes are expensive.....

That realy sucks bro. I'm trying to stay as GM as possible like GM manifold w/ GM exhaust and a high flow cat, nothing aftermarket fits right. I just don't get it!

If zzp cant send me a new header really soon then I will get a refund and get the GM Manifold. With Gm parts you know there going to fit and be good quality.

Do you guys not have a muffler shop in town or something? Go get a custom header made w/ 2inch primaries and long tubes in mild steel. After they make the header, coat it yourself for about 50 bucks for the parts, then get it bolted on. After intalling that, buy a Random Tech hi-flow 3inch cat and have the same muffler shop weld that cat on the car. 3inch cat-back would also be needed and I recommend using Thermal or Hahn in that department. Between those parts and a nice CAI you should easily see 20+whp which I think is a VERY conservative figure. Realistically something like 30+whp, especially if your boosting 15+psi. The car is boosted, it's going to love high flow exhaust, period.
