Quick opinion for tvs exhaust

I'm having my exhaust redone. I have the horrible Gmp 2.25 exhaust on my car robbing me of an arm and a leg worth of power. I'm looking for opinions , don't give me some crap about going to see some thread I don't have time to hunt around. Should I do a 2.5/2.75 or a 3.0 exhaust. Someone who knows what their actually talking about, I would greatly appreciate your feed back. I'm being told that a 3" you really start to lose the torque your putting out. Suggestions ?Thanks

I think you need to make your mind up if you want power or you want your car to sound like crap

Obviously I don't need the car to sound like crap. I keep hearing and seeing 3" , so 2.5 is what it needs? I'm being serious i'm not sure what to run with the TVS.

Run a 3" exhaust, and a 3" doesnt sound much different from a 2.5 in my experiance, but who gives a **** how it sounds, as long as it works and works properly
