Quick question
It won't work unless you bought the kit brand new. GM doesn't hand out the authorization codes. The code is part of the purchase when you buy GM Stage 2. You're better off getting a custom tune.
If you installed all the stage 2 parts on your car, all you would need to do is the following:
1) Have the dealer flash your VIN into the PCM you're installing
2) Have the dealer do a case relearn (or crank relearn I can't remember)
3) Have the dealer do a security relearn
I believe that's all you need to do...
What I did was I bought used 42lb injectors, then I bought the stage 1 to 2 upgrade kit. ($350 from CED)
Comes with an authorization code.

how did you get this "new" authorization code?

Hey man, I made a thread similar to this a while ago, and seems like every response I got beat around the bush like this thread is going.
Aaron-0703 - You can use the GM PCM that you got from the other car and it will work as long as you did what I said. As far as the authorization code in concerned; if the code has not been used, you can use it to get a tune. But if the PCM already has the Stage 2 tune on it, you don't need to get it flashed.
MT0911 - Haven't gotten it installed yet. I will tomorrow afternoon. I'm dropping it off at 2. I'll let you know tomorrow night! But someone else said they did the same thing I'm doing and it's working just fine. Also, noticed you have a hiflow cat. Did you throw any codes?? If so, what can I do to eliminate it? Angled O2 sensor? Where do I get one?

06G85- Sounds good with the stage 2 kit. You'll notice quite a difference from stock. Have fun with it
To the OP, this info 06G85 provided is correct. Good Luck.

. My sig is a little off right now, I have new modifications and some of the ones listed are no longer there. I actually don't have the Header/Downpipe/Exhaust setup in my thread anymore. I went back to stock (trying to save up money lol). But when I did have it I didn't throw any codes. I know some people do and some don't but I never had a problem. I even passed MD State Inspection with it. But if for some reason you DO throw a CEL, you have 2 options. Either get an angeled O2 sensor (Ebay has them very cheap), or you can get the code tuned out (probably won't do the tune but just letting you know that it's an option). Good Luck

So I goto the dealer to drop my car off and they beat around the bush oh well we can't do it today, can you bring it back next week. At first no one knew wtf a stage kit was and saying the don't install aftermarket kits because it'll void the warranty. I said, it's NOT aftermarket its a GM part dipshit!
So after discussing for 15 minutes, they said drop the car off TUesday night, they'll pay for a rental car for the first day, and i should get it back Wednesday night. WOO HOO YAY (sarcasm cough cough)
SO needless to say before I get any of this done, I need to find out how much they are going to charge me. They can charge anything...
I actually got the GM Stage 2 kit for a pretty cheap price brand new. When I took mine to the dealer (a while back) they told me they have never done one either. So I spoke to management and let him know the deal and he told me to drop my car off and it took them 3 hours and I paid just under 250 in total for install. Good luck though, you'll be happy once the install is finally complete. It pulls nicely in 2nd and 3rd, a lot better than stock. Let me know how it goes.
This kit WILL void my warranty. I don't have an existing factory warranty anymoer (I have just over 36K miles) The kit does not void the factory warranty, but it does void my GMPP extended warranty.
ALL this time and effort to put together a stage 2 kit and still keep my warranty now means nothing...

What? How does it void your extended warranty? Do you have that in writing? I don't understand how that is possible if under factory warranty GM honors the GM Stage 2 kit and includes it under warranty but under extended warranty they don't honor it. There has to be something wrong with that. So if someone decides to do GM Stage 2 while still under factory warranty and then when the factory warranty is up, they opt for the extended warranty, and they are disqualified because of something that was previously warranted? That doesn't sound right because technically GM Stage 2 is not aftermarket and GM states they do support it under warranty. What are they telling you?
