Quick Question Before Install!

Tried searching and couldn't find anything.

I just bought the GMPP Stage 2 kit and I was wondering how I was to go about getting the car flashed. I know it has to be taken to a dealer to get flashed but then can the stock components run on that new re-tune until I get it home and install the rest or do I install the injectors and drive it there with a stock tune.

My understanding was the Stage 1 was just injectors/tune and the stage 2 just came with a belt/pulley so theoretically I could just put the injectors in and go and get my tune but do the 42.5# run on a stock tune.

Thanks in advance guys.

I think people have done it both ways. I personally just had the dealer install it for me.

I'm not going to pay sixty dollars an hour though for something that I can EASILY do in my own time on my day off. I just need the reflash from the dealer because I don't have what I need to do that on my own.

Actually I talked to the dealer today who I've gone to before they're real nice they said that I could install the injectors with their tools and stuff and they would only charge me a half hour of labor for the install because they know it's just a reprogram so....I was glad to hear that. The other dealer I went to wanted 49.99 no matter what but this guy said 30 bucks because it shouldn't take more then a half hour.

Plus they're a Chevrolet dealer and have Corvettes laying around but mine is the first Cobalt Supercharged they've ever seen. Go figure haha!

I would put the parts in and then take it in for the reflash. It will run on the 42's. I ran mine on 60's when my hp tuners quit working, very bad Idle and you could't get on the throttle at all or it would flood out real bad. but 42's should be fine for the short trip.
