Ecotecs sound very good with a Turbo on them. I've heard 2 of them so far and they have a mix of a Boxer and Skittle sound.

I read up on it and found out that someone does have it installed and just cut off some of the firewall insulation so that is ddnt rub all the time. its only 31whp gain with thier 3" intake and full 3" downpipe and 3" exhaust. im not too sure about it.

whats the next step down from the jbp headers? i want the performance but not the fitment issues....unless its been taken care of. also does the cobalt addiction catless 3" downpipe fit with a 2.5" catback? and what headers will fit to that d/p? i realy want to get the most hp.

What gasket are you using with your header install? I noticed the stock gasket is to small for the larger collectors.

i currently don't have any header. just the stock one. this is why i've been asking all these questions; because im trying to decide which header to go with for the most hp. if i have to change the gasket then i will. thanks for the heads up. +rep!

might as well just get teh ca header , save on shipping..i dont think theres gonna be huge differences with most of your standard 4 to 1 headers

I currently have the CA header on my car and have felt some difference up top. All shorty 4-1 headers are good for higher rpm though. I actually have a weapon-r header that i just got in the mail and i'm smoothing out the welds and making a gasket for it to replace the CA header. I will post if i feel any significant gains, hopefully it will help with the midrange in second.

I was thinking in the future i may just modify the weapon-r header for the correct firing order by cutting and rewelding the Y intersections to the different primaries. Til then i'm going to see how well it works with my 3" exhaust.

so what do you think about this setup? zzp shorty headers, CA 3" downpipe w/o cat, and corsa touring for the ss/sc? is the header going to fit/ work right? sizing wise i should say. lie going from a small colector to 3" d/p? thanks

ok. i think i've found the bet question to ask to get my problem cleared up....will a 3" D/P and the 2.5" corsa for the 2.0L be a good combo...power wise? if so what header would be a nice add on to the combo? or is it better to get 3" all the way back from the D/P?

Also does anyone know the specs on the hahn header?

If your doing a 3" downpipe and dropping back down to a 2.5" catback, your just recreating the backpressure from going back down in size. To free up the most power, get a full 3" exhaust or full 2.5" exhaust.

damn. i love the sound of the corsa. is there a 3" catback that has the same sound..or close enough?

one question though. wouldn't creating a backpressure in the exhaust help to make some power...i don't know i'm just thinking too much. lol.

As far as helping power, I don't think so. Adding exhaust to any car makes power by freeing up resistance(backpressure).

But you lose power once there is not enough backpressure.

You lose low end torque. Gain high end power.

I rather have high end power, that's where my RPMS are when im on it.

ok. im going to be running a nitrous application. what size piping is best for that? (NOTE: i will increase size of N2O shot later after i upgrade internals). if its is 3" what exhaust is comprable to the corsa sound?

.....i still can't get a good answer for my header question. what header is good for a 2.5" and/or a 3" application?
