Random Engine Misfire
Random Engine Misfire
Does anyone know what could be causing this problem at idle?? I'm running NGK BKR7E and I believe they are gapped around .36-.38.
I'm running 60s and a 2.8 pulley and a custom tune.

Make sure your MAF is clean. A contaminated MAF with usually throw this code. Get some electronics spray cleaner from radio shack and spray it. Don't recommend touching the filaments with anything though. The spray usually works just fine.
Otherwise, that code is common for larger camshafts if you have made that change.

Have not made that change. Thing is, on stage 2 tune I did not throw the code but as soon as I got 60s it came on...Anyone know what parameter needs to be changed to fixed this problem?
hell...I'm stock and get misfires...had them with my stock plugs...went to a set of ngk bkr7e's...still have them. Car runs fine...only get them at idle too...
Same here , since new . Stock then staged , i've had an idle misfire Never pops a code but i can see it on a tech 2 misfire graph. It used to bother me but it doesnt hurt performance any that i can tell.
The tune has some pretty rough parameters that need some work. I was trying to narrow down what causes the misfires. If anyone has a good tune for 60s and a 2.8 then I would really appreciate it.
