Okay my car has officially the same sound as Jonels car in the video, DOes this mean I have to replace my charger, or that I can get a rebuild kit and that will fix it.

I think that’s a normal noise. Mine made it from day one.
I did not bother trying to get it replaced.

I can't hear the clip here, but it's probably that coupler in the supercharger making the noise. I would keep and eye out though. Did you try the belt removal trick yet?

Here's my SC Noise. **Please RightClick and Save-Target-As** 24 MB Vid. It doesn't sound healthy to me at all, but its always sounded like that and its running great. Did a 0-60 today and it was right at the 6 seconds mark.

No, because if it happens again, I'll be closer to a 30 day lemon. I'll get the new car and trade it in on something not GM.

I know this has been said before, but GM customer service is so poor, I don't want this car anymore.

Update, Took the car in to the dealer, For some reason the Tensioner of the timing chain went bad. The chain was hitting the top of the cam gear. They ordered a new tensioner and a new chain. Everything will be covered under warranty. Thanks to all of you who have shined in this thread to make my life easier.
Later guys.

So yeah those of you who have the supercharger alike sound. Check you car, it could be the timing chain. Thats if the sound is loud enough to hear when you are driving the car.

Thumbs down

i have an 07' with 1200miles, and noticed it at idle the other night, sounds like a fairly loud rapping/knocking coming from the timing chain cover towards the back, but if its cold itll go away, sometimes its loud and sometimes its quiet depending on how i am driving the car..goin to the dealer next weekend. and btw i had the supercharger noise since the day i picked mine up!
p.s. car is stock w/ a KNN CAI

Okay my mechanic says that what could have caused the belt to do this was the rev limiter at 7200 rpm. Too high for the system. Now those who have the noise in the hot only im sure the belt kind of gets looser when its hot and gets contracted when its cold. So I would check that immediatly meaning the Tensioner has some play already.
