99% isn't good enough, i'm 100% sure it is functional. keep taking your classes and keep up the grades

i don't think you understand what functional aerodynamic parts mean in the automotive industry. i really think you are just misunderstanding here.

I agree.

Sure it's fully functional. It's function is to sell cars.

Performance wise, it's a boat anchor.

i understand perfectly, our spoiler is funtional. you know what they did to the wing on the time attack cobalt.. (you know the one that turned faster lap times than a skyline gtr, evo 8's and suped up s2000's and every other car that ran against it), the only thing the team did to the wing was swap the actual wing part out for one that was flaired up a bit more to create more df for the track. same width, same side mounting brackets as the stock system. so to go from the stock car to a race quality wing, they only swapped out one part of the wing.. hmmmmm

AS FAR AS DIFFUSERS GO.... you can get a vortex generator like the lancer MR..... a kid at school has a very nice SRT-4 which is black and he has those on the back window in CF its fits the car very very good, idk y i never liked them but on the srt its nice

exactly. most spoilers that are actually considered fully functional in the automotive industry look like ass.

for example

http://www.importparts.co.za/body.ge...s/image023.jpg

and

http://images.google.com/imgres?imgu...lr%3D%26sa%3DN

all ugly as ***** imo, but they are fully functional.

edit: perfect example- http://www.leftlanenews.com/2006/06/...amg-cabriolet/

you do realize that in the time attack you speak of that cobalt was the only oem factory backed car in the competition with the only scca champion driver and, btw, they did swap out the entire spoiler for the actual time attack. If you watch the video or look at any pictures you will see it is actually a totally redesigned fully functional spoiler.

i wouldnt want to say that the wing is not functional.... but i have a hard time believing that it does much.

back on topic... no, there are no rear diffusers currently made for the cobalt. i cant honestly see the need for that anyways..... are you planning on setting some land speed records with a 2.0l cobalt?

I plan on pushing the 200mph border. And yes it will be on a track thank you, I am not a moron! I plan on competing in the High Performance driving events and they get up there. Also, I plan on doing the Big Bend Event, and that can get pretty exciting!

Also, I plan on taking a vacation to Europe and driving on the Famous AUTOBAHN!

LOL! It is a project in the making.

Hopefully it will be on the track if not all I got to say is you are retarded. Going fast enough on the street where you need that kinda of downforce is only done by a complete moron.

NEVER!

I think the cheapest car you can buy right now with a functional spoiler is the crossfire. some high performance cars have functional spoilers, but most companies don't even bother. Functional spoilers usually look like the rediculous fake ones you see on ricers. Big, ugly, and really wide. If your spoiler was actually functional, it would cost alot more money than it does. GM would not waste the time to make your soiler functional. keep in mind when people say "functional spoiler" it means it provides a great deal more down force at high speeds. adding it's downforce in weight does not mean it is functional!

You forget about the EVO and I think maybe the STI. The EVO's is for a fact functional, and especially the MR version!
GREAT ******* CARS!!!!!!

the mr doesnt have a dif spoiler it just has a vortex generator which helps with airflow turbulance. and it has a few other aerodynamics goodies.

edit: yes the evo does have a functional rear wing

For a fact the STI has a functional spoiler, at 100mph it provides and additional 50lbs of downforce here is a link
