rear o2 censor

rear o2 censor

i recently put on a vibrant header and downpipe combo. the problem i ran into is the rear o2 censor is not long enuff to reach does anyone know of a model of cobalt that has a long rear cable for the o2 censor then the 07 ss/sc. any help would be great. check engine light is anonying to look at

you'll probably still throw a code with the DP because it has a high flow cat. just get the p0420 code deleted with HPT and you'll be set.

does not having my rear o2 censor plugged in affect anything on my car other then the check engine light?

Which bung are you plugging into?? I have an 05 and my 02 sensor plugged into the first bung just fine. And my wideband just fine in the rear. Did I plug in the wrong one

Disconnect the rear O2 sensor engine harness clip from the bracket at the engine harness connector for the rear O2 sensor. This will allow enough "slack" in the engine harness portion of the rear O2 sensor harness to reach the rear O2 sensor connector. This works for me on my 06 SS/SC with Vibrant header and downpipe.

got to zzperformance.com and they sell a 15'' extension thats what i had to use that way i could keep the connections where they belong i think its like 15.99 or sumthin like that

even with an extension my rear 02 harness is zip tied to a tranny mount. have to improvise a little
