Replace intake filter?

Ive had my injen intake on for almost a year now. I have put about 12000 miles on the car since I installed it. How often should I be changing the air filter on it?

you just need a performance filter cleaning kit, usually costs about $20 from pepboys, autozone or any other car place. It has enough stuff to clean the filter at least 3 times and I believe that you should clean your filter every 3-6 months depending on how much dirt and grime its exposed to. You shouldn't have to actually replace the filter for a couple years if treated well.

K&N makes a filtercharger cleaning kit... it has a cleaning solution and oil in it... you should do prolly more often than 12k especially if you are an SS/SC with the intake filter in the fender it gets really dirty down there!

My friend has a couple aem dryflows, they are 3 inch ones. Do you know what the Injen intake uses. Im pretty sure its 3 inch, but not sure.

The AEM dryflow will fit I have one on my car. Its a little loose but it will work. Also I believe the Injen is 2 3/4in.
