I just read over on redlineforums, about how the 05 ecu, controls boost signal. That is why it can't be messed with. Its not a wiring issue by Psi-fi.

I hooked up my mechanical autometer boost guage today. I was hitting 16psi no problem, and its very hot/humid here.

Clownhair, you may have had to take it off, but Psi-fi can do the entire redline install without removing the blower. You guys have so much room to the left of the pulley, SS's do not. Silverbullet had the install done, check out that link with the pics.

No need for diff belt, they install a larger tensioner to make up the diff. It just requires a little grinding on the bracket so it'll accomodate the larger wheel.

3inch catback should be here next week, from Altered Atmosphere. That'll let her breath, now just waiting on the TOG's header.

No dyno yet, I will after exhaust. I'm dying to see the numbers.

Stuffy, the PSI-FI guys have had their kit in the works for about 8 months now, they have had it on a shop car for quite a while and done lots of testing.

The piggy back they are using is probably the most advanced piggy back I have looked at when compared to the emanage and the apexi safc2.

I have an scanner and I can scan for knock retard and I can tell you I have yet to see any serious knock retard in the stock forum of the car. I am putting on a 3.25 pulley this weekend and I will be checking again for it when I road test it.

When I am done with that this winter I am going to put on a direct port nitrous system, so I don't think I will be hitting any modding wall. You just need to think outside the box a bit and not focus only on upgrading the supercharger for more power. Think about a ~230 HP LSJ with 150 shot of nitrous and your talking 380 HP at the wheels. I am not saying thats what I am going to end up at cause I am sure things will change along the way, but it's a definite possibility. And don't forget about the folks going to put a turbo in front of the eaton and use that to build more power. Stuff is coming just need to be patient..

Digital Horsepower has a PCM programmer they sell. No need for premapped fuel curves, you create your own! HPtuners has similar software, but its $100 more. I persoanll have DHP's PCM programmer (powertuner) and this thing is FREAKIN AWESOME! definatly worth the money. Its a little confusing at first, but you catch on quickly. They have a seperate forum just for the tuner.
checked out both of their sites from what i could find

http://www.hptuners.com/
http://www.digitalhorsepowerinc.com/features.htm

and didn't see anything for the cobalt ss/sc

Yep its $500 for the pulley, bigger tensioner, and powerpaq. Then its another $175, for install. It was only $100 for install but that was before they found out they have to pull the blower on the SS, to change the pulley. So Redline install is $100, SS install is $175.

I'm not 100% sure on the new install price, you should still double check with them.

With the mechanical guage my car shoots right up to 16psi, on a hot humid day. As soon as my 3inch catback gets here next week, I'm running to the dyno.

I'll post numbers as soon as I do. I know we're all dying to know.

my problem wasn't to the left of the SC, it was clearing the alternator with the puller. Taking the SC off took me less than 10 minutes anyways. Its super simple and I am kinda amazed they are charging an extra $75 bucks for it. Its 4 hex bolts and then just disconnect the sensors and boom its off.

The reason you havent seen any programming tools available for the Cobalt yet is because it uses a completely different electrical architecture and communications protocol than previous GM small car platforms and other earlier ECOtec applications, this newGMLAN protocol and hex-decimal base are making tuning difficult, it took nearly a full year for the new Corvette to get any real programming available for it and it is a much more popular platform when it comes to tuning products.

Charles got back with me the other day regarding using my car as a test vehicle.
I live too far away for them to feel comfortable making changes to my car, incase something goes wrong leaving me stranded in Chi-town. They are still looking for someone local, and I'm a last resort if no-one steps up.
