Resonator or no resonator
i just talked to my muffler guy and he said its likely that the catalic converter might have something to do with it sounding like rocks are in my muffler, but the resonator should have nothing to do with it, so im taking it back to see if theres anything in there, and if there is im taking it to the dealership so they can put a new one on.

so its not the catalic converter. i thought resonators just baffle the sound, so all 4 cylenders without a resonator will have "rasp". and the only way to not have it is to have a resonator?
Yes. A resonator helps control "rasp". Also the proper catback or muffler. A Flowmaster will be raspy while a Magnaflow will sound good.
so you basically have to go with a resonator, to have a good sound, but it wont be as loud. can you still turn heads with a resonator and a muffler cause i know it wont be as loud? do yall with resonators turn heads when yall are accelerating?
LMFAO!!! See this is where you have to think about it. In order to get a sound clip, I will have to...
#1 Go film my car or find someone to film it for me
#2 Load the footage onto my computer
#3 do some rough editing to get it somewhat refined
#4 upload it on to the internet, a long process
#5 make a post saying I up loaded a video
See that a lot of work just to get you guys a sounds clip, and you must understand I'm FAR to lazy to do that. Now I prolly will have a sound clip after I'm done porting my blower

I am far too lazy to do that as well.
If GM didn't think you needed a resonator they would not have installed it in the first place. Remeber the old saying: "Parts left off cost nothing and cause no service related problems".
what kind of resonators do you have, what kind of a big muffler do you have, and what size is your piping?
