I really dont mind the volume...its not really that loud.. I was just wondering if running 2 resonators intead of the 1 would help get rid of the raspy sound at higher rpms.

I'd like this thread to stay on topic as well. I am considering a magnaflow resonator because I'll be sending my third whisper back this week

I would think the vibrant header/dp would make it sound better...hmmm...are you sure you don't have a leak?

Vibrant has a high flow cat.

I was looking into getting a skunk2 muffler, but if the resonator is causing the raspy sound. guess its back to square one.
skunk2...jdm may not sound good...they make good stuff though but for mainly hondas. Make sure the tip doesn't look stupid with the cutout however.

I am pretty sure.. I replaced the cat-catback gasket and the header gasket. I have taken it to 2 exhuast shops and they say I have no leak. i can hear the raspiness coming out of the muffler..

Hehe...maybe I should check too, I have the stock cat back still...because all I hear is supercharger whine and the sound of the header. Do you hear the rasp with the windows up?

i built my own complete exhaust system. its 2.5", shorty header, no cat. i used the same magnaflow muffler as in the magnaflow cat-back (5x8x18) but i used a much larger resonator. the one i got is 33" long x 6" round, its massive. the result, a slightly deeper tone at idle, a very deep tone with no rasp at cruise and medium throttle, and a louder, but not unbearable no rasp tone at wide open high rpm. id recomend this setup to anyone, its great.

I HIGHLY RECOMMEND NOT GOING WITH A ZZP WHISPER RESONATOR!!

ZZP has been having a lot of problems with there products lately, and certain things need to be taken care of. Once they sort these problems out, then go back to them. They are a great vendor, but stay away from there downpipes and there resonators.

Go with a magnaflow resonator and a magnaflow muffler and a magnaflow cat.
Dont put the cart before the horse. I bought a header/DP on the last GB and have nothing but praises out of their products. Vendors will have their ups and downs.

Put the 3" IN/OUT 6" body resonator on my car from Magnaflow today! What a difference! I love driving my car again! I have the ZZP Header, Downpipe and Dezod 2.75" and if you have a header and DP this is definitely an essential item. I got mine on ebay shipped for 75 bucks, 25 dollar install.

yeah it helps it out tremendously.

how would you know if the resonator has gone bad? I have heard of people on here saying their magnaflow resonator went bad and magnaflow replaced it.
