what happens if you install a new clutch without resurfacing the flywheel. Because my friend had someone install his clutch without resurfacing the flywheel. he got the gmpp clutch for his lsj i just wanted to know if any heavy damage or anything at all would happen

 

Its almost like putting new pads with worn rotors. Just gonna make **** wear faster.

 

a stock flywheel is like 125bucks, resurfacing almost costs the same its something cheap that shouldnt be overlooked

 

Its overlooked about the same as people reusing their throw out bearings.

 

Do not install a clutch without replacing the flywheel.

Resurfacing the flywheel is not reccommended either, just get a brand new one.

Taking material off the flywheel can affect the engagement of the clutch.

 

yea i got the lnf throw out when i got my gmpp clutch and just bought a new flywheel. I have had it on now for about 7k miles and this setup is awesome
