this is why YOU should be doing your own work on your car and not paying someone to do **** that takes literally 45 mins if you go slow. 1000 bucks for a muffler and you said ok? lol i got a beach front house in idaho if you wana take a look at it, its real nice i swear.

im gonna venture in saying he didnt look and he paid that price cus he doesnt know **** about his car even further more saying if it took you a year or more to figure out something is wrong, then yea you didnt know and probably still know very little which is in itself not cool. research man research

Fwiw,

You can use jack stands to hold up all 4 corners rather than a hoist. I do not like being under my car though cause I know I'm bigger than underneath it. I'm thinking of getting a few 8x8 blocks to go along with jack stands as a backup.

Also, why get a new one?

If it's mandrel bent, stainless (especially the weird kind that Magnaflow uses that apparantly can rust), has a Magnaflow muffler and the company previously said it was a Magnaflow exhaust don't you think it's the right one?

best thing i've heard all day (even tho i only woke up 20mins ago). Depending where you get it from and what size, should cost you $600-800. And once againt, depending where u get it from it could be a simple bolt on job that takes 30mins. Although, i got my maganflow exhaust from CIA and it was a 3". It required 2 welds. I installed the exhaust myself (along with header and downpipe) then went to a shop and watched them weld it together.

Sorry to say, your own fault for not doing your homework sort of speak.
