just as the title says, i have a 2007 SS SC and it has had a rough idle for about 3 months now. i have taken it to the dealer for this 3 times, theyve replaced the evap canister purge solinoid, catalitic converter and all 4 spark plugs. and it is still rough. its very lopey as if it was a 454big block with a blower and huge camshaft. does anyone else have a problem like this?

Mine did that for a little while when I first got it last summer, but it cleared up shortly. It did it the worst when I'd first get in it at the end of the day after it sat in 100+ degree heat, but I don't think you have that problem. Is it really bad and consistent? I mean mine will "rumble" every once in a while, but not very often. I think these cars typically have a fairly rough idle compared to other 4 cylinders.

FYI-dont ever get poly engine/tranny mounts if the rough idle bothers you now.

On some of my former cars a bad Throttle Position Sensor (TPS) can cause that. I don't know where it would be located on our cars.

my car does something like that, when i get off the highway and there is a stop light it starts to choke and sounds like its going to die.
