on average you can see a 2-5 HP difference with royal purple over a lower synthetic oil. I used it on my cobalt, idle is smoother and so are the revs. Its not just a gimick, Royal Purple really is a higher grade engine oil than your average oil. It will protect your engine from wear and tear better and give a little extra hp, nothing that you will really notice though.

I use it in mine. Only difference i noticed was longevity, and im sure the protection is better and thats all i care about. I have it in my tranny as well, and it make a nice difference in smoothness.

makes a diff. in your transmission. But in the engine theres no diff. that you can tell, only the oil change last longer. I change my oil twice a year.&k on an oil change with a zmax kit.

Royal purple 5W-20 5W-30 10W-30 oils are SL rated (Outdated) meaning that they are to be used in engine from 2004 and earlier. There is a huge difference between SL and SM API ratings..Use Mobil 1 5W-30 and you wont be sorry..

If you dont believe me check it out...
Click on the PS link for the the motor oils half-way down the page...

The Magazine Grassroots Motorsports tested Royal Purple with a stock Miatia. All the fluids were changed with Royal Purple products, a small HP gain was had on the dyno when compared to the OEM oils. I dont remeber exact #'s it was small.

you got a dyno sheet to prove 2-5hp increase, i call bs on it, you might see .5hp increase, if that.

i ran royal purple in my s dime, in my titan, engine, trans, motor-huge diff all around, and my cobalt. your not gaining hp by running the oil, its not like putting an intake on or something, your recovering lost hp... as always results depend on car, you may only see a .5 increase or you may see a 3 hp increase. theres thousands of dyno test out there that prove it. my bro went to uti and they did dyno tests on 3 diff cars and all increased hp, same wtih ams oil. plus who wouldnt want better protection and even if all it does is give you more milege in between change who doesnt want that? esp with our pain in the ass filters. just cause factory doesnt rec. it doesnt mean its bad, the factory dont rec. you do anything! if we all listened to the factory this site wouldnt exist and we would all driving stock cars...people always crying bout oh do a search stop wasting my time, no one said you had to open it, sometimes it easier to just start a new thread...
