Running with race gas suggested changes?

So I found a place locally that has race gas 104 unleaded for 6 something a gallon. I want to do some testing with it before the GM bash in Ohio coming up in 3 weeks. What sort of changes can you make to take advantage of it?

I know obviously timing but I'm around 25 right now with no knock, I was told previously in other threads that anything more is just beating the **** out of the bottom end? How much timing is too much under WOT?

Any other changes that can be made? Leaner AFR perhaps?

All I do when I run RG at the track is bump the timing. Honestly I would not need it because I run meth if I had the right heat range plugs. But, my plugs are to hot and I get burst knock when I try to run aggressive timing.

From what I understand anymore than 25-26 isn't going to get you gains but I can't verify that.

You may want to try to drop your pully size and keep your high timing.

Rodimus, You have the Harrop blower right? meth mixture %? what pulley?
I'd say keep your timing at 24-25 through the last 2500 rpms under PE.
Idk your iat2 temps and afr though.

25 seems to be the wall for timing.

right now im on the 80mm, i may drop to the 75MM soon, IAT rarely goes above 140s and it was 93 degrees out the other day, mine does ramp up to 25, i could prob bring it higher earlier in the powerband

i'd bring it in earlier. Mine starts at 4500 with 23* of timing then at 5500 goes to 24* (in the cells where airmass > .80ish)

I wouldnt go with 75mm if your iat2 is near 140.

Whats your AFR and meth % ?

11.6-11.7 50/50

most of the time its not more than 20-30 over IAT1 so obviously on a 90s day im going to see 135+

i'd try upping the timing eariler in the rpm range, maybe lean it to 12.0. IMO smaller pulley will just create more heat and not give you much hp.

heres another question... what size meth nozzle are you using?

no im looking at more than just a few cells, this is looking like its going to take more time than I have right now to get right, no time to get to the dyno right now

I'm picking up another car on sunday so the whole next week will be working on that one. Theres a thread in the lounge about what it is

Here's my advice.........up the meth mix to 75/25 and drop down to a m6 nozzle. You will basically be using the same amount of meth but less water. Then you can drop the pulley size down to 75mm. There is no need for meth and race gas, oh and if you still have the injen thats in your sig pic, get rid of it.
