Running rich

I just swapped my pulley and started my car back up, it's missing bad and running really rich. Exaust smells like pure gas! Any suggestions?

It's running like the timing is all messed up and it stalls, jeeze would a small change in pulley size do this, and the check engine light came on.

i wouldnt think it would. did you take it out and run the ***** off of it? or did it do it on startup after pulley swap?

nm. reading > me. did you accidently unplug anything doing the swap?

I unplugged everything needed to remove the SC. However, I didn't unhook the battery. Would that be an issue? Oh and it did it upon startup.

cant hurt, unplug it for 15 minutes plug it back in, and let the car relearn everything

if your just swapping pulley's you didnt need to unplug anything..

Sounds like you forgot to plug something in possibly

I unhooked the battery, and it still does it. The exaust is black soot and stinks like gas. I checked all the connections, I hooked everything back up. Anyone else ever have this problem?

I put the old stage 2 pulley back on and it's still doing it. Any suggestions before I tow it to the dealer?
All I did was take the SC off. Everything is hooked back up.

That is weird - you could put any pulley you want on there, and it won't affect idle. Did you get the plug that goes on the bottom of the s/c? I think it's either for the tb or the bypass...but that would likely cause some issues if you didn't plug it back in.

Too late, it's gone to the dealer. I put everything back on. I'm very curious as to what the hell happened. I'll let you know. And the SC gasket looks good.

That would be your clue that you forgot to put something back on properly.
