Saab/ Cobalt compatability info

Hello thanks for adding me to your community. I've always been a gm guy however for the past couple years I've been working on a saab turbo. I've done alot work to it such as stage 3 tune for e85.... 3" downpipe with converter delete.... 80# seimans injectors.... td04hl-19t turbo.... high volume fuel pump....high flow air intake.... I've found the weak point is exhaust manifold it's restrictive as ****. I spent a butt-load of money to have a a header made well guess its a top mount and they made me a bottom mount. It's hands down the most beautiful exhaust manifold I've ever seen but it's too tall. Was wondering if a gm ecotec header would work on the saab ecotec. They are both 2.0 and I've heard they both use the same head. I've seen them for fairly cheap the only downside is I need it with a t25 flange if that's the case I'll just make an adapter or buy one I've seen them on ebay. Does anyone have any thoughts or opinions?

I do recall the heads being similar to the lsj don’t quote me on that thoighz
I can’t help but think your turbo choice might be a pretty limiting factor/ restriction as well. Unless the stats of it are misleading a bit.

Well for my needs the Mitsubishi turbo does fine I know it's not the best but the upgraded setup makes 20 pounds of boost just fine. I'm just trying to get a better flow out of the exhaust thanks for your input

Here's some info. It seems the heads for the Saab LK9(B207R) and LSJ are identical minus a few small things, so something probably will swap without much effort.

yeah no worries. I’m just more implying they the exhaust probably isn’t that big of a restriction for that size of turbo. That being said I have no idea what your manifold looks like so I could be completely wrong.

I would guess a zzp manifold will work for your needs
