alright so localy here on craigslist there is a sabb 2.0 turbo motor for sale and it looks just like the lsj but turbo'd. so my question is how differnt are they motors and if the turbo mani is any good for pushing good power? just some specs would be cool, dont tell me to use the search button i want my own thread =D btw the motor with everything but a downpipe, pipeing, and pcm(has harness tho) is 1100 on clist and has 10k on the motor, it was pulled from a junk yard car.

It depends on what year it is, if it's trionic 5 or trionic 7, T5 is incompatable with our motors completely, mani's don't line up and rotating assembly geometry is different

Same diff even if the LK9 came out a year sooner. In this situation LK9 ='s a TC LSJ. That answered his question..

If you want to go turbo, that's not the set-up to get.

The LK9 intake manifold can support a lot of flow, that's a good pickup. But that dinky little exhaust manifold and turbo ain't going to do ****.

You could still get that head and so some port work to it and then swap heads later.

trust me on this, you dont want the saab turbo set up...its not worth the hassle or the money, you sure you will have more hp and trq than you would from the m62 once you get it tuned...but its not worth it, for the money you could easily afford a nice 16g set up and push mid 300's on it

yes, you the lk9 intake manifold is good for boost...a lot better than the stock LSJ manifold, and you can ppick one up for pretty cheap new at dealers, than sell your stock one for more than the lk9 one...
