Save Me

Ok guys bear with me here...

First of all ill state the problem, When i go full throttle it will take off then feel like i hit a brick wall or something, i wanna say fuel cut but not too sure, it is intermittent and does not do it at any certain rpm just when im on full throttle for a few seconds, if i just do short bursts its ok.

Now for the mods...."there a lil different from my sig now"

2.6 Pulley
BKR8EIX Plugs
Ported SC
60Lb Injectors
Stock upper intake with aftermarket air filter attached "box Removed"
Shortie header
3 inch exhaust
Adjustable tensioner
Cobra Heat Exchanger
stage 2 belt
Tuned ECU

Ive changed the plugs and no difference, ive been on this tune for a while now and no prob, no check engine lights or anything. Ive ran some 110 Octane through it but it was diluted with 93. As far as i know i do now think the Filter has been changed so i guess that is next.

does anyone have any ideas or has anyone experienced this before? Any info would be greatly appreciated.

Try cleaning your MAF sensor with a good MAF cleaner.

ur belt slipping would not cause that problem. it has noting to do w/ the car moving.sounds like it may be a fuel issue perhaps ur fuel injectors are starting to get a little clogged. does it happen when the car is hot or cold? u may also have a intermittent electrical problem that happens to quick to set a code. id say try to make it happen a lot to see if maybe it sets a code then get it looked at. if ur still under warranty it might not be covered if they try to do a reprogram cuz they will see a non gm program code. i know this cuz i work at a dealer and have seen warranty alerts for aftermarket programming.

Well...Hmmm... Ima try to clean up the throttle body, MAF and so forth, throw a new filter on and see how she runs. as far as cleaning out the FI how do our cars react to seafoam? or the b12 chemtool additive?

I seafoamed my car when I got it and it never gave me any problems. Just make sure you don't hydrolock it with the stuff.

Check out the How-to section. Hatrickstu has a write up on it

Its most likely a dirty MAF. that wont always throw a code.
