Say someone gets the pistons
Ok so say someone gets the pistons. it opens you to another world with these cars. more like opens you to a more expensive world. Im just brainstorming but i figure u will need upgraded pistons if you want the twincharged system right. so say u get the pistons, stage kit, cams and the Twincharger kit. thats about $10,000 in your motor. does anyone plan on going to that extreme???? i dont see many people getting the pistons and if they were going to i think nows the time to do them. tell me what u think
Right now the plans are for stage kit E/H/I and a few other goodies. I have also thought about internals and it is an expensive world. I will probly keep my SS under 300 hp until I get another car and the warrenty is up.
After those 2 things, looking between 300-500hp still keepin the car for the street.
This is my first bought car and I plan on keeping it as long as possible.

Pistons are going to be my first "major" engine modification. It's the only thing that isn't forged internally. I'd rather have a built bottom end that can handle extra power, than spend loads on that "extra power" and worry about my internals taking a dump. The only thing from diamond forged pistons being Christmas wrapped under my tree is deciding whether or not I want the extra bump in compression or not...well and the fact that no one seems to know if the rods are true forged steel or forged powdered metal....don't want to tear the motor down and install the pistons only to find out we're cheapened out on forged powdered metal rods.

I plan on doing everything in the 300hp build plus more. I have $5,000 waiting for stage 2 and the 300hp build, all I am waiting for are the parts. The E\H\I are already paid for and clutch and flywheel will be paid for soon. NOS and twin charging don't do it for me because if I was going to spend that much more I would just mortgage the house and buy a Vette.
I have a spare lsj engine and I'm sending the rods to eagle, and the pistons to Ross pistons for forged unit's duplicated from the originals and maybe a bump in compression a little like the 300 book. 9.5 to 10.0

i really dont see the twin charge kit itself being over 2,500-3,000 the bit part will be the install if you dont do it yourself. if you think about it all your really paying for is a turbo kit
