So you want to fill them?

You have to remove the S/C.

You can't miss them, two hot-dog-shaped slots on the underside of the blower. There's the one main port, then the 2 silencer holes. Take the blower off and you'll understand what I am talking aboot.

It worked wonders for me... I can hear it under normal driving even, granted its not the sound of the thing at WOT but you can definitely faintly hear the blower spinning. If you have a loud useless catback it won't be as loud either.

my exhaust is kinda loud so i guess that could be some of the problem why i cant hear it. but i do like the quarter throttle and its boosting to almost 7psi at 2 grand

It's the exhaust, mine was only a small increase to me when I'm driving, but let someone rip your car down the street.. trust me, it's much much louder outside!

I've heard the biggest thing with this mod is that it makes your sc whine louder, maybe boost a little quicker, but it gets psi pretty damn fast to start with

I might consider doing this to mine, just the idea of the quick steel getting loose gives me nightmares

someone post up the statement from the Eaton rep that plugging the holes improves boost response

With the amount of expansion and contraction of the metal due to heating and cooling cycles , how long do you think the plugs will stay in place? I know it can't go too far if they fall out but i wouldn't take the chance just for noise.

guys on the GTP forums have been doing it for years with 50k+ miles on them and no problems....the chances that it will break off and actually get through the intake manifold are highly unlikely....

does anyone want to take a guess as to why those holes work in the first place to reduce the noise? I mean how do they work to reduce the noise? Would it be because those holes actually let air pass through them? So it makes the supercharger louder by pressing the air through a smaller area...hmm

So if air passes through the silencer holes would restricting the flow path to the center triangle increase or decrease boost response? It could be neither depending on how much air goes through those holes but there's no way it's going to boost "faster" through restriction.

Conceivably if they fall apart or come off they could take out a piston or two if the suction is enough to pull them up through the runners.
