i searched and i think i got my answers but im not 100% sure. today i went to leave for the movies and i started my car, and the idle was goign crazyyy! it went down and up from like 1500 rpm to like 300 rpm. i thought it was going to stall for sure and it kept going bakc n forth back n forth. first gear was all jerky and wouldnt go past 3k but after a few minutes it would. every gear was jerky and it was slow as *****. is this limp mode? and should i just take it to the dealer and let warrantee do its job?

 

Sounds like you need the reflash. take to the dealer they will reflash and that should fix it.

sounds like limp mode. an OBD2 code reader should tell you the code that is causing the limp mode. I get it occasionally on my turbo conversion that did not make my MAF sensor too happy. The engine jumps into that mode when it it thinks something really bad is going to happen to save your engine.

if you are under warranty have them fix it.

if you turn the car off for at least a minute it will clear the limp mode unless the problem is still there
