which set up?

Which exhaust is a better setup with the most gains?

My mods are:
Cai
2.79 pulley
60s
Ottp rotated mounts
Traction rods
Cx h/e
1step colder plugs
Devils progressive meth kit
Gmpp upgraded clutch
24 deg timming

My question is which exhaust set up is better for my mods. I don't plan on doing any other mods except suspension and an exhaust.

Choice A
Zzp mid length header 1.75 primaries 3in outlet, zzp 3in in and out catless dp, zzp 3in cat back no res.

Choice B
Zzp midlength header 1.75 primaries 3in outlet, zzp 3in in and 2.5in outlet catless dp, any random 2.5 in cat back

Thanks guys

My thoughts ..

If your planning on staying with the 2.8" pulley.. then you could consider the 2.5" catback and it may actually help your tq a little..

If your going to ever upgrade though, you are right on the verge of needing the 3" exhaust...

That's what I'm courious about being that I'm right on the boarder between 2.5in and 3in should I go to 3in and maybe lose 2much back pressure or shud I got 2.5 and maybe have 2 much back pressure?

We dont want any backpressure... we want exhaust velocity...

Really, as long as you have a 3" dp... your better off...

You will have better velocity with the 2.5" up to a certain point, then it will become a restriction..
your kinda on that border right now...

If you feel you may pulley down sooner or later... or go with another type of forced induction, than go with the 3".

I went through a ton of money and like 5 different exhausts before i found one i even could tolerate. I may even put the cat on to make the Hahn sound that much smoother...but i doubt it.

he's already(technically below) at a 2.8, i'm running a 3" on that same setup. just different plugs and a stronger methanol mix with 25*. a 3" will work just fine.

Does that hahn catback bolt together or does it have to be welded (meanin when it is delivered and broken up in diffrent swections do the bolt together to make the cat back or are they welded)? Does it bolt up to a 3in zzp down pipe?

the hahn has some nice clamps that make it fit together..

And yes, yes it does...

So what your sayin is if I get the 3in hahn catback it is all bolt on not one bit of welding and it is a direct bolt on to my zzp in dp? Did I get that rite?

the hahn system uses clamps to make adjustments in length so it fits right. but it bolts to the downpipe like a normal exhaust, and then it....i'll get some pictures...

If you aren't going to do anything else to it for sure, I would stick with the 2.5", better to keep a little more HP and TQ in your midrange.

If you think you may at any point possibly go NO2 or go with a 2.7 pulley or turbo, then I would definately go 3" or you will be changing the exhaust out again.

Direct bolt on.

As most will state, it is better to stick with one brand, than to mix and match, as that is when issues may arise.

this.

alright here's some pictures.

obviously the header and downpipe aren't going to move. on the catback itself, the flange that bolts on to the catback is actually only about 7-8" long. and then that clamp/bolts on to the main body of the catback, that is used for front-back length adjustment. then at the 90* bend, theres another clamp, and thats used for side to side adjustments and final position of the muffler.
