Shakey SS

whenever im doin about 60 and i hit the brakes.. i feel a slight vibration in the steering wheel.. if i let go of the whell.. it shakes back and forth almost violently.. i just hit 5k and i really cant see my brakes already beeing bad.. also this has been happening since about 2k.. anyone else have the same issue?

Sounds like the disks are warped. Most likely they were overheated or the wheels are torqued improperly. Just a thought.

Take it in, probably warped rotors due to overtorque.

more like undertorque
mine were loose when i bought mine ~40 ft.lbs
should be 100 ft/lbs

As others have said it's probably warped rotors, when torquing your lug nuts use the star pattern...and if you really want to do it right first torque the lug nuts to 50 ft/lbs, 75 ft/lbs and then finally 100 ft/lbs.

yeah when i went to pull out my airbox my lugs came off easy so i put a torque wrench to the rest and they were all between 35-30 ft pounds... i would recommend that EVERYONE check those lugs immediately after purchasing the cars.
