Should i dyno tune with 60lb?

Ok i already have stage 2 with the 2.85in pulley. I found a place that dyno tunes and i wanna upgrade to 60lb injectors as well. My hangup is i already spent the money on stage 2, so whatt i really wanna know is the increase from my setup to the dyno tune and 60lb injectors really worth it? for those of you who might have this setup what kinda numbers do you think your spitting out hp and torque wise?

You won't gain enough to justify the cost with the 2.85 pulley. I'd drop a pulley size or two before spending that kind of money on injectors and tuning.

I'm curious of the same thing. I'm stage 2 with the 3" pulley and I'm thinking going to a 2.7 with 60# injectors and then tune somewhere. I'm assuming my HP #'s are around 250 with I/E. What would the 2.7 with 60's do with a good tune? 270? 280?

Your numbers are most likely closer to 235-240, and 2.7/60s has shown a 255-265 range consistently.

yea i am gonna drop to a 2.7 pulley but i mean for 10-15 hp gain? That doesn't sound like much for that kind of money

Well, its not. The S/C on these cars is peaked past 12 psi, so any more boost is just diminishing returns. The only people getting close to 300 hp were running meth injection to counteract the heat issues. There is a nice torque gain from going to a smaller pulley, but you get more heat up top. Need some sort of cooling to make it really work.

good info, could you explain further or pass me on to thread that already touched on this. So are you saying to go with methane injection on top of the tune ,60lb injectors, and smaller pulley?

If you go through with what you are thinking, you will have pissed your stage 2 money away.

The 60's eliminate your stage 2 injectors.
60's require tuning which eliminates your stage 2 tune.
The smaller pulley eliminates your stage 2 pulley.

Nothing left from the stage 2. (don't feel bad, I, and many others did the same thing)

If you are even planning on doing 60#'ers... then do not do the Stage 2 kit... because all you will use is the Stage 2 hub, and belt! Kind of a crappy investment, huh?

Yah no kidding.

And depending how small of a pulley you go with you will need a larger idler pulley or the ZZP adjustable tensioner.

yea thats why I've been having second thoughts because I spent all that money on stage 2 i guess I just kinda feel like the stage 2 was the wrong upgrade. Oh well I'm just gonna let that sit on my mind until spring and then I'll decide on what to do
