Should I tune?

I found out a guy in one of my classes has hptuners. He offered to flash my car as long as I buy the tuning credits. Would it be worth it to tune with my basically stock set up? I have intake and cat back right now. He also said I could find a tune on the hptuners forum. How would I know it is a legit tune?

Well this guy has a engine swap turbo camaro, he was telling me how he logs while driving to school and back. But what I was getting at is would there be any realistic power gains/advantages to getting tuned, or should I just wait till I get a stage kit (ottp) someday

TUNE IT!!!

i got 20hp gain unlocked from a great tune that is also conservative

but idk if u want a guy who doesnt tune other cars to do yours, see if there is a local tuner in your area, have them email u a tune and have the guy with hptuner slap it on after he data logs the car first.

1.so find a great tuner
2.have the guy with hptuner datalog u
3. send the basic tune u get from the guy in your class to the the local tuner
4.he will email u back a better tune and have the guy in class load that file

if someone else can explain this better please do hahaha

I'd recommend a slight upgrade to some other things that along with tuning will gain significant power. Like the credits cost 100 anyway. So but some used 60's(100) and a 2.8 pulley and gm hub (50) and you will make significant gains.

I was thinking this but I don't have the cash right now, but I can save and buy injectors and pulley and hold on to this guys info and tune after I have everything.
