I've been running a meth injected 2.8 for a while now. Only other mods are Catless DP and an Intake. I am faster then my buddy's non meth injected 2.8. Cooling mods are FTW, especially Meth.

I'm going to say the smallest IMO is the 2.9". Whenever I had my 2.9" pulley on mine the blower got pretty warm...

I would say for the Stock S2 tune... a 2.9 would be the lowest I would go!

I myself ran a 2.85, and an intake for about 1500 miles untill I got tuned by Area, car was mucho happier with me after such!

Meth/ Water injection seems to be the single best cooling mod for the money available... hence why the faster cars all seem to be running it!

2.5 pullied here, no cooling mods....header, dp, catback...stock intake and about 20,000-25,000 miles on those mods....nothing has blown up yet...BUT in the summer, a quick 2nd gear-3rd gear pull will reach 150-155 iat....which is why I never beat on it in the summer....I have had a meth kit for the longest time now in the trunk of my car....i'm just so lazy to put it in lol

Here is someone who is doing it right the first time. If I could go back in time I would of done axles, clutch/flywheel, cooling mods before anything else. If you plan on getting a smaller pulley then stage II don't even bother buying stage II. Buy GM stage I, get the dual pass and then add a 2.9 pulley. Would be a very good route to go.

Here is another interesting question, how many times was the words "cooling mods" said in this thread(not including quotes from before though)?

I thought it was funny. Any who...I plan on getting a full exhaust the a dual pass with another H/E and an extra surge tank before going with a smaller pulley.

there is no "right way" to mod your car. its all personal preference..or more, what you plan on doing with the car. obviously a person using their car to autocross is going to start with suspension instead of starting with engine components. as long as you dont blow it up right off the bat, you're obviously doing something right. i did stage 2, then 60# injectors, then a clutch, and finally put my 2.7 on and have had zero problems.

and yes brian, i dont give a ****!

You have to realize the smaller you go, the more heat you're generating...if you don't have mods offsetting the heat you're going to actually lose power
