so...

I installed my zzp 3in intake today and I got my car all back together and started it. I was letting it warm up while I cleaned tools and literally at the same time that put the last tool away my car just randomly shut off. I tried to start it again but it just kept cranking with no start. Obviously starting system works, air intake is good, onto checking fuel. I checked to see if there was any pressure right before the injectors and nothing came out.I haven't done anything with my fueling system in 4 months y would it act up now? I cant tell if my line is clogged or if something is up with the pump...anyone have any ideas on what possibly happened to help me further into getting my car to run. The fuse and relay are still good as well

Checked my rewire kit a everything is still hooked up just fine. Still no pressure to the line..I forgot to mention I changed my fuel filter 3 weeks ago but that shouldn't be the problem

I would refer to this thread- https://www.cobaltss.net/forums/how-...n-tank-269262/

Hook up the electrical as described in that thread. If you don't hear the pump running, check for power at the pump harness under the car. If you do hear the pump running, check for pressure at the brfp regulator. If there is no pressure there, the hose probably came off the fuel pump.

Did you remove the in-tank regulator when you installed the brfp system?

So you are running the Aeromotive pump and brfp regulator and the regulator in the tank? I don't think that would be able to work without seeing crazy high fuel pressure at idle and low load. That pump just moves way too much to try to regulate twice in series. It is just too much restriction. If you have to get in the tank to fix the hose, I recommend removing the factory regulator from the canister. It will drop the pressure with vacuum that way, making it easier to tune at idle as well.

You don't have to if you are running the stock pump, but I don't think you can run the Aeromotive pump in that configuration and keep idle fuel pressure steady. I could be wrong, but I know that pump flows a LOT.

On our brfp kit page- ZZPerformance - Boost Reference Fuel Pressure System #
You want option 2 so you have boost reference through vacuum and boost conditions.

Yes, but with the pump and injectors that you are running, it would be worth it to run option 2.

Good deal. I'm glad you found that, and that you pulled the stock regulator. It's possible that the high fuel pressures from the dual regulator restriction could have caused increased current draw. They have the current draw chart on the page here- http://aeromotiveinc.com/wp-content/...1140_41_42.pdf

Hopefully that means you won't have that issue again with the in-tank regulator removed.
