Difference between SS/2.4 and SS/SC seats?
So... I was looking my new SS/SC over yesterday and noticed that it dosen't have heated seats like my 2.4 did.
I was under the impression that there wasn't a difference between the 2.4 and regular SC seats. I know the SC ones have the nice "SS" Embroidery on them. But they look just like the other seats as far as I can tell. So... do any of you other SC drivers have heated seats? Or is it not available on our cars at all?
Not that it's a really big deal to me... I love the seats with the SS emboridery. But I wasn't aware that they were actually different from the 2.4 seats.

You can NOT get the haeted seats in the SC. However, the wiring is there, so if you can find heated seats from a lower model, I don't think it'd be that hard to install them into your SS/SC.

There is Wiring under the driver seat for the Airbag, no wiring under the passenger seat.
Can you seperate the seat, in two parts : Butt section and back section. And Then, thake the leather off of the butt part and swap them with another butt Part.
What i am getting at is Take a heated seat and put the leather of the Red on Black SS seat over it and reinstall the seat in the SS??????

I already spoke with my dealership and found out that the heated parts of the seats are simply inserts.
You can buy the heating pads(dont have the Part # handy)when I last checked in Feb. '06, the heated inserts for both front seats (4 total) ran around $300 or so. So around $75-80 per pad last I know of.
There is one each for the bottom and back of the seats.
I still havent verified if the harness is under the ss/sc seats as I havent taken my seats out yet and I can't tell if the harness is there with them in. (if my harness is there its under the rug)
Provided the wiring is still there, you can disassemble the ss/sc seats and put the heating pads in ...Dealer even provided me with a xerox of an exploded seat diagram to do it with. The diagram showed the seat cushion/cover coming off and the pads going underneath them.
No idea how much the dash switch assembly costs as I didnt get that far yet, but I would assume not much.
Anyone who has installed an aftermarket radio head unit may be able to verify if the connections for the switches in the dash are still there.....anyone???
Hope that helps

personnally i dont like any of the seats except the recaro's that came in the G-85 package. they are the best looking and most supportive on cornering ,etc. a nice factory race seat! all the other seats look like theyre made flat for a fat a**.
